This web site is a response to over 30 years of prejudice and discrimination toward SIST and its affiliated businesses. It is time that the world hears their side of the story, and nobody will tell it if they don’t. When you read these articles you will be enlightened and shocked, not only with the facts of what really happened but also at the language used to describe the racists behind the bigotry. These racists are elected officials, cruel beasts without a heart and conscience, slave owners transplanted from Civil War plantation days to the 21st Century, and the offspring of those who cremated over six million Jews in the concentration camps in World War II.
As a very brief history, the organization, the Samanta Roy Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit school with federal and state tax ID numbers. They have had an overseas university that has been operating since 1992, and it is their goal to build a K-12 school of math and science for gifted students in the Shawano, Wisconsin area. In order to fund raise for this school, SIST has chosen to buy businesses, properties, and apartment buildings to build up equity toward the goal of someday borrowing millions of dollars to build that school. They have a 12 member Board of Directors comprised of scientists, doctors, lawyers, dentists, teachers, professional people from different parts of the country. SIST and its affiliated businesses have brought tremendous good and tremendous revenue to the City of Shawano and Shawano County in the last five years, yet none of that good is noticed or even considered newsworth by the local media. Why?- - you might ask. Because Shawano has a problem.
The heart of the problem that SIST has experienced for over 30 years is RACIAL PREJUDICE. Why? Because the president of SIST is Dr. Samanta Roy, who is originally from India, coming from a different ethnic background and having a different color skin. Therein lies the problem, for Shawano is a very Racist City, and they despise anyone with a different color skin. Since Dr. Roy came to settle in Shawano in 1973, there has been a concerted effort on the part of certain town, city, and county officials to either drive Dr. Roy out of town or kill him. These bigoted officials have used the tiny local newspaper, the Shawano Leader, which I named the Evil Leader, as their mouthpiece to accomplish their goal. So, when you read the multitude of negative articles on the internet about the organization being a dangerous cult, digging tunnels and bunkers, worshipping ducks and trees, and keeping people at the bottom of 15 foot deep holes for three days eating mud, consider the source.
The latest, most powerful Racist is the Mayor of Shawano, Lorna Marquardt. Lorna the Racist hates Dr. Roy, but is a mere puppet in the hands of the good old boys who have had a stranglehold on Shawano for 50 years. Her complicit bedfellows in the quest to hurt Dr. Roy, SIST, and its businesses, are the Evil Leader publisher, Rod Christensen, the editor, Kent Tempus, and the reporter, Tim Ryan.
