Lorna Marquardt, the mayor of Shawano, sends her hostile, ill-mannered, and obnoxious Gestapo Ed Whealon and Mike Musolff to deal with SIST businesses harshly and without any limit.
On July 12, 2007, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the Shawano Chief of Police, Ed Whealon, and Lieutenant Mike Musolff, stormed into AmericInn as if they were ready to bomb Baghdad and capture Saddam Hussein. They marched over to the poolroom door and, upon discovering the door was locked, Whealon ordered the front desk clerk to unlock the door. The clerk unlocked the door and returned to the front desk.
The officers marched over to the game machines, all of which had large out-of-order signs on them, and rudely hollered from beside the pool for the clerk to immediately come and unplug the machines. The clerk complied and explained that the machines were not being used and the large out-of-order signs had been placed on the machines to prevent people from using them. Whealon ordered Musolff to “go cite them”, and stomped down the hallway in his boots to the other end of the building to look at the vending machines. Again, despite the large out-of-order signs on the machines, the clerk was ordered to unplug the machines. The clerk explained to Whealon that since June 30, 2007, officers had been making their rounds at least three times a day and that the officers had told him that placing the out-of-order signs on the machines was good enough. Whealon just glared at the clerk and refused to explain why what had been fine all this time, was suddenly wrong.

Minutes later, Musolff reentered the hotel, camera in hand, and again ordered the clerk to unlock the poolroom door. The clerk complied. Whealon, with Musolff at his heels, stormed over to the game machines, and roughly ripped the out-of-order signs off the machines. Then, they took pictures of the machines. The clerk asked why they took the out-of-order signs off the machines. Whealon thundered “for evidence”, and both marched back to the car, and wrote up two citations. They returned into the building and handed the clerk two citations; one for failure to obtain a soda license and the second for violation of miscellaneous gaming machine regulations. Whealon told the clerk he was lucky that they were not giving him the citations personally and the Gestapo stormed out the front door and screeched out of the parking lot.

Whealon and Musolff then sped off to Best Western and brought the car to a screeching halt right in front of the front entrance to the lobby. This reporter happened to be on Airport Road when he saw the Gestapo’s car fly into the parking lot as if chasing some criminal. The Gestapo jumped out of the car and slammed the doors. The officers rushed past the front desk towards the poolroom. Unsuspecting guests emerging from their rooms, nearly trampled by Whealon and Musolff in hot pursuit of Lorna Marquardt’s crusade to threaten, harass, oppress, and intimidate SIST, stood mouths agape holding the wall for support. The officers looked at the game machines in the poolroom and rushed back to the car to grab a camera. The officers once again stampeded in the front door and moved briskly down the hall towards game machines nearly knocking a front desk clerk off her feet in their tirade to reach the game machines. The officers took photos, wrote a citation, and marched back up to the front desk. The officers ordered the front desk clerk to take the citation and shoved the paper in front of the frightened clerk’s nose and dropped it as if she were some menial being which needed to fetch her food from the floor. The officers tauntingly told this reporter you may as well call the stations, they are next in Lorna Marquardt’s crusade path.

The officers raced out of the parking lot and over to People’s Express North. Knowing that this reporter was close behind with a camera in-hand, the storm troopers quickly parked the car, ran into the store and ordered the clerk to remove all cigarettes, soda, and beer within one hour. The clerk asked if she could ask a question. Whealon rudely told her that he did not want any debate; the products had to be removed from the store. The clerk explained again that since June 30, 2007, police officers had been making their rounds many times per day. The officers had seen the large signs throughout the store informing customers that the store was temporarily unable to sell soda, beer, or cigarettes. Both entrance doors to the store had two large notices. In addition, throughout the store several notices had been posted. The previous officers that had been coming to the location for nearly the last two weeks had seen the signs and told her that that was sufficient.
Whealon angrily thundered, “I don’t want any debate. The products must be removed in one hour.” The clerk explained that it would impossible for her to remove all the products in one hour as it was the middle of the day and she was busy. Besides the amount of products that are inside the store will take at least half a day to remove. Whealon menacingly roared, “that’s not my problem!” Whealon with Musolff at his heels rushed for the door nearly crushing a female customer and her child in their mission to complete Lorna Marquardt’s crusade. The officers jumped back into the car and fled out of the parking lot nearly crashing into several cars attempting to enter or leave the gas station.
Then the officers came to People’s Express Main. Musolff drove wildly dodging cars in traffic as he attempted to reach People’s Express Main. Once they reached People’s Express Main, Musolff brought the car to a stop right in front of the front door. The Gestapo sat in the car, communicating with the crusader, Lorna Marquardt, and waiting for orders from her majesty. Meanwhile, customers attempting to enter or exit the store through the front door had to walk around the officers’ car.
Once Whealon received the command, he and Musolff emerged, citation in hand and entered the store. As they rushed through the front door nearly trampling this reporter, an unsuspecting customer nearly dropped his hot chocolate in his attempt to stay out of the way. The officers marched to the check-out counter and shoved a citation in the clerk’s face and told her, “I am expecting you to have all cigarettes, soda, and beer removed from the store in one hour.”

At that point, Naomi Isaacson, SIST C.E.O., had arrived on the scene. She told the officers that before the products would be removed from the store, we needed a written order as city ordinances do not require removal of the products from the store. City ordinances only prohibit the sale of cigarettes and soda without a license. As well known to the police department and to all the customers that have patronized the store since the licenses expired because City refused to renew them, no SIST businesses have sold any items that require a license. Numerous notices are posted throughout SIST businesses about the products that they are not allowed to sell at this time. Whealon just roared, “I will give nothing in writing.” Whealon with Musolff violently stormed out the front door nearly tearing the door off its hinges in their rage. They jumped into their car and roared wildly out of the parking lot at an excessive rate of speed. Customers in the store at the time of the terror raid, stood dumbfounded, mouths-agape, in horror at the episode of which they were just witnesses. Gradually, the customers were able to shake themselves back to reality, complete their purchases, and continue on their ways.
Meanwhile, Whealon and Musolff sped down side roads dangerously dodging traffic and pedestrians in their mad pursuit of Lorna Marquardt’s crusade. As the officers were moving at such a high rate of speed, unfortunately this reporter was unable to capture their trip to People’s Express South on camera. This reporter did not feel it was safe to drive that way and did not want to follow the Gestapo’s bad example. The officers screeched to a stop on the south side of the station nearly crashing into the southeast corner of the building. Musolff, with Whealon close behind, rushed into the store nearly knocking customers off their feet. Musolff saw the soda fountain, roughly jabbed his finger at the machine, turning the soda fountain on and baptizing his dirty hands with Mountain Dew. Everyone stood motionless watching the storm troopers, unsure of what to do. The officers glanced around the store, exited quickly, and returned to the car. After a lengthy phone conversation with Crusader Lorna Marquardt, Musolff reentered the store with a citation. Musolff barged in front of a long line of customers, stuck the citation in front of the clerk’s nose, and thundered, “Your court date is August 23, 2007”. Whealon thundered, “we will return with the District Attorney.” Both Whealon and Musolff glared at the customers waiting to check-out and thundered out the front door in a rage. Upon seeing this reporter with his camera, the officers jumped into the car and sped out of the parking lot.
This reporter attempted to follow the officers as they drove wildly up and down many side streets, sure they were continuing with Lorna Marquardt’s reign of terror but not sure where they were going to attack next. It was obvious this reporter’s camera was intimidating them. As they were traveling at such a high rate of speed, he was not able to keep up. For several minutes after this reporter lost sight of them, he could still hear the engine roaring and tires screeching as they drove like maniacs up and down the normally quiet neighborhood streets of Shawano. This reporter figured they were probably heading for People’s Express North as that was the only business to which they had not yet issued a citation. Following the hunch, this reporter went to People’s Express North and sat in the car, trying to recollect his thoughts and brush images from videos of German pogroms from his mind.
All of a sudden, this reporter was startled back to reality as the officers pulled into People’s Express North. Musolff with Whealon at his heels rushed into the store, and gave the clerk a citation. The clerk informed them that it had only been 45 minutes not an hour. They replied, “we received orders to give you the citation now, anyway.” They rudely pushed customers aside and slapped the citation on the counter and exited the store.
Hoping Lorna Marquardt’s crusade was finally over for the day, this reporter watched as Musolff, driving more normally pulled out of the parking lot and headed west down Green Bay Street towards Lorna’s office. At this day and age, in broad daylight, Lorna orders her Gestapo to carry out her hostile discrimination and racial feelings towards Dr. Roy and SIST to harass and oppress these businesses. This reporter doubts she would ever think about doing anything like this to anybody else. Nobody would tolerate this kind of oppression. She’s completely forgetting this is the United States, king of democracy and a land of interaction with peoples of all cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and races. This is the 21st century, not the Dark Ages or World War II where her ancestors ruled. Somehow, Shawano never got the light and is still sitting in deep darkness and Lorna is the queen of it.
According to the Shawano Leader article of July 1, 2007, the Shawano police department was going to be monitoring businesses without licenses one time per shift. Because they are SIST businesses, they have been frequented more often than that. SIST businesses placed notices throughout their places of business informing customers of the products that they are unable to sell. Shawano police officers have told the people working at the various SIST businesses that what they have done is fine. Obviously, Lorna got up on the wrong side of bed in a foul mood and decided to begin a crusade and start a pogrom. It is another ill-memory day in the history of SIST. This reporter interviewed several customers on-site during the pogroms.
Almost unanimously they remarked that the Gestapo’s actions reminded them of Nazi Germany under Hitler. Lorna is not supposed to be doing all these things to somebody just because she does not like them. Sadly, Shawano has become Nazi Germany under Lorna Marquardt, the Hitler.
This reporter came to know today, July 13, 2007, that Lorna Marquardt has sent the same Gestapo to give more citations in the morning and in the evening and require the stores to remove all beer, soda, and cigarettes from stores even though there is not such an ordinance or legal requirement that the products be removed from the store. Per Lorna’s command, the Gestapo have ordered that if the products are not removed from the stores, they will come to confiscate the items. Lorna, the Hitler, and her Gestapo, still refuse to give anything in writing and are eagerly waiting to pillage.
